What are the dates for the workshop?

The workshop starts on January 9, 2023, and ends on January 13, 2023.

What is the last date of the application?

The last date to apply to the workshop is December 14, 2022.

When will be the results announced for the final selection?

We have sent out emails to the selected candidates. Please check your inbox (and also your spam folder).

How much is the registration fee?

The application for the workshop is free, however the fee for the final registration after the selection is 1000 INR + 18% GST (= 1180 INR including GST), which would be reimbursed upon participation (excluding GST).

Can I get my registration fee amount reimbursed?

Yes, the 1000 INR from the registration amount would be reimbursed.

What is the venue and how to reach there?

Will I receive a certificate of participation?

Yes, all the participants will receive a certificate of participation.

I will come along with my family members. Are there hotels around IISc that I can go for?

There are several hotels around IISc. Please visit makemytrip, goibibo to find out good deals.

Will the workshop be offline or online?

The workshop will be in offline mode in IISc, Bengaluru. Participants will be required to attend the event by physically coming to the IISc campus. Although we are planning to live broadcast the workshop, it is not finalized yet.

What are the weather conditions in Bengaluru during the workshop?

Mornings and nights are colder (16 – 20 degrees C), please carry light pullovers/sweaters. Also, bring an umbrella or raincoat because of unpredictable Bangalore rains.

What are the eligibility criteria to attend the workshop?
  • Masters and Ph.D. students, postdocs and faculty working in Neuroscience, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and related areas.
  • Exceptionally motivated undergraduate students would also be considered for participation.
  • Applications from working professionals and clinicians in the related areas are also encouraged to apply.
Will the participants be provided with accommodation?

Participants would be provided accommodation either inside or around the IISc campus for the duration of the workshop, upon request.

Accommodation and food would be provided only for participants, not their family members.

Can I get travel reimbursements?

For students we are providing travel reimbursements for up to a third AC train fare and for faculty participants, we are providing travel reimbursements for up to a second AC train fare. If there are multiple train options available, we will reimburse the minimum fare among those.

Please keep your boarding pass intact for the airfare reimbursements; reimbursements will be done considering train fare and airfare, whichever is low.

Are there any COVID related guidelines to be followed?

Participants and organisers are requested to follow the facemasks protocol.
